I do think you might be misjudging your parents. I think in their heart of hearts, they love you both equally they may spend more time with your sister and show her love more because she is younger. Most parents tend to express love to the younger child because they need it older children don't necessarily require as much love because they are older, and depending on the age gap, it is even common that the older sibling are preparing to be on their own in which case parents might feel that the older child doesn't want to be coddled
